Movement Styles & Your Instructors
Pilates
Classic | Modern | Power Pilates
Nadia (she/her) is trained in Mat Pilates as well as Reformer. Her journey with movement—and professional career—began at the age of 3 when she started ballet. She quickly understood the importance of taking care of both the body and the mind. In her classes, she emphasise the mind-body connection, encouraging students to shift their focus from external appearances to internal sensations. “I truly believe that it is how we feel—not how we look—that matters. Working out should be fun, bring smiles to our faces, foster a sense of community, and contribute to a healthier life led with more energy,” she says. During the week, Nadia will take you through a full repetoire of Pilates incl. classic techniques, her own modern take on it, and her signature Power Pilates classes, which are guaranteed to make you sweat (her playlists are sensational, so it’s impossible not to move).
Nadia is also a Certified Personal Trainer and offers 1:1 sessions. This will be available during the retreat at an additional cost. Make sure to book in advance.
Yoga
Yin | Somatic | Yin Yang
Emma (she/her) is your Yoga Alliance certified teacher (and Sense of Self Retreats founder). Whether in life or her yoga practices, she focuses on embodiment and self-compassion, encouraging participants to honour their mind and body’s needs. She aims to create spaces where showing up as you are and moving in alignment with what feels right is the priority. This philosophy guides everything she does incl. retreats, as she’s passionate about fostering safe, judgment-free spaces for self-exploration. “My outlook, in life & in yoga, is about “giving it a go” and doing what feels good, always reminding participants (and myself!) that it’s called a yoga practice, not yoga perfect,” she says. Throughout the week we will work with Yin, Somatic, and Yin Yang Yoga styles. She will also guide you through pranayama (breathing) techniques and meditation experiences for a complete practice.
Emma also offers 1:1 Holistic Therapy Sessions. This is available during the retreat at an additional cost. If you have any questions about this or would like to book, enquire here.

Both "Jávea" and "Xàbia" refer to the same town in Spain, but the difference is in the language used.
Jávea is the Spanish name for the town.
Xàbia is the Valencian (Catalan) name, which is used locally and in official contexts within the Valencian Community.

Nourishing, tasty, body- & soul-fuelling food!
We love food and think it is a very important part of any retreat experience. We work hard to curate a beautiful menu of fresh and local produce. All meals are communal to support connections and times to share. If you have any dietary or allergies, please let us know in your booking form.
-
Whilst our days are designed with plenty of activities to give you the best retreat experience, there will be time for downtime to explore on your own or simply chill by the pool and read a book.
-
The group size varies. There will be a minimum of 10 and maximum of 14 guests. We aim to create an intimate environment to support the community feel while still giving you the freedom to be able to do your own thing when you want.
-
Unfortunately, this is not usually possible because the venue is often booked right before and after use (and they’ll need the cleaning crew in to prepare the space).
However, we LOVE when retreat guests extend their time abroad into a longer holiday, and will be more than happy to check with the venue if you’d like. Otherwise there are an array of hotels nearby.
You can always go spend some time in nearby cities as well — Ibiza and Mallorca are also only a ferry-ride (or very short flight) away!
Let us know if you’d like any recommendations, we’d be happy to help!

We recommend flying into Alicante or Valencia.
To travel from Alicante Airport to Jávea (Xabia), here are the main options:
Bus: There are direct buses from Alicante Airport to Jávea, operated by Alicante – Javea or Beniconnect (https://www.beniconnect.com/) shuttle services. The bus ride typically takes 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on stops, and costs approximately €22. From there, you can walk or get a 5 min. taxi to the retreat venue.
Taxi: The most convenient and direct method is a taxi. The journey takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes, depending on traffic, and costs around €90 to €100
Private Transfer: A private transfer offers a more comfortable, door-to-door service. It usually takes around 1 hour and 15 minutes, similar to a taxi, and costs around €100 to €130
Car Hire: If you prefer more flexibility, renting a car is a good option. It takes about 1 hour to drive via the AP-7 motorway, and rental prices vary based on the season and car type
To travel from Valencia Airport to Jávea (Xabia), you have a few options:Train and Bus Combo: You can take a train from Valencia to Gandía (around 1 hour), and then transfer to a bus to Jávea. This can take an additional 1.5 to 2 hours, and the total cost is around €8.20. From there, you will need to get a 5-10 min. taxi to the retreat venue.
Bus: Buses are a more affordable option, with services departing from the Valencia Airport. The journey takes between 2 to 3.5 hours, depending on the stops, and tickets cost about €17.15 from the airport. From there, you will need to get a 5-10 min. taxi to the retreat venue.
Taxi: This is the quickest and most comfortable option, taking around 1 hour and 15 minutes. It's a direct journey but the most expensive, typically costing around €156
Car: If you prefer flexibility, driving is a great option. The route follows the AP-7 highway and takes approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes
For the most seamless experience, renting your own car, or getting a pre-booked minibus or private transfer might be ideal, offering both comfort and convenience
Shuttle DirectIf you would like to rent a car, we are happy to recommend car hire companies we have worked with before!
