The Vision Behind Sense of Self
Sense of Self was founded by Emma, whose journey brings together a deep understanding of human wellbeing and a passion for creating meaningful experiences. With a foundation in psychology, over a decade of professional experience in mental health & wellness, a vast background in London’s high-end hospitality, and five years immersed in diverse cultures through full-time travel, Emma has drawn on her skills and knowledge to establish a retreat business that prioritises exceptional service, holistic health, and the restorative power of nature.
As the eldest sister to five younger brothers, Emma naturally embodies a nurturing “big sister energy.” This quality infuses her work with warmth, care, and an innate ability to guide and support others, whether in her personal relationships or professional pursuits.
“I’ve always been incredibly curious and questioned everything, so I somehow ended up devoting my life—and now career—to exploring and teaching what I’ve learned. This now comes across in my practices that promote mindfulness and holistic health. As a Yoga Alliance-certified yoga instructor, I combine an understanding of body mechanics with approaches that support both the mind and spirit. My aim with anything I do is to create spaces that encourage physical wellbeing, self-reflection, and genuine connection.”
From leading workshops and events in Denmark to organising retreats in scenic locations like Spain, Emma has cultivated an approach to creating thoughtful and restorative experiences. Her passion lies in helping others reconnect with themselves—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Each step of her journey, whether it’s sharing the benefits of breath work, organising unique travel experiences, or helping others navigate life’s challenges, has strengthened her dedication to supporting others on their path to wellbeing.

“The natural healing force within each of us is the greatest force in getting well. And nature itself is the best physician.”
